The study proposes a new form of funeral cultural complex in response to the changing perceptions of funeral culture in modern society. So, the funeral cultural complex park was planned under the concept of “Flowers in Heaven,” which combines the traditional funeral ritual Jin-o-gwi-gut with modern elements, honoring the deceased and providing comfort to their families. This space integrates aspects of funerals, sublimation, commemoration, pets, and cultural arts, and includes modern condolence areas, eco-friendly alkaline hydrolysis facilities, and AI-based metaverse memorial halls. Such a funeral cultural complex park aims to improve positive perceptions of funeral facilities and solve the increasing demand for funerals, thereby presenting a new culture of commemoration. This study copes with the necessity of merging tradition and modernity in funeral culture, and it is expected to provide opportunities to expand the functions of funeral facilities through artistic spaces, eco-friendly alkaline hydrolysis facilities, and AI-based systems, while also re-evaluating their social value.
