In the field of autonomous driving prediction technology, various research such as lane recognition, vehicle direction, and location are being actively conducted based on Radar and LiDAR sensors. Since LiDAR and Radar equipment is a burden in terms of cost, there is a need for research on technologies to replace expensive equipment or to replace sensors in case of equipment failure while driving. In this study, we proposed a method for recognizing the side tries of an autonomous vehicle through computer vision using a camera and predicting the direction by applying the tire image according to the tire area to artificial intelligence. According to the proposed method, when the tire area indicating directionality was extracted and applied to artificial intelligence, the prediction results indicating directionality could be confirmed.
