The domestic and overseas OTT(Over-The-Top) market is rapidly developing and the number of users is continuously increasing. Based on this, OTT companies are continuously researching related technologies to secure new and loyal customer, and among them, they are focusing on recommendation system related technologies. The recommendation system is one of the important technologies applied in many fields to attract various users and increase consumption in addition to the OTT field.
However, although content is provided to users through recommendations, actual consumption does not occur until the user makes a selection. In this paper, we analyze the main characters of movie contents and propose a method to extract the frames in which the main characters appear and use them as thumbnails.
