Purpose: To analyze factors associated with positive religious coping among diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients based on demographic factors, disease characteristics, and patient factors. Methods: This study was conducted in two hospitals in Indonesia. Patients (N=173) were selected through convenience sampling. The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Brief RCOPE, and the Diabetes Distress Scale (DDS) were questionnaires employed in this study. The test of a binary logistic regression model was used. Results: There was a significant relationship between positive religious coping and diabetes distress (p=.037). However, positive religious coping showed no significant relationship with demographic factors (age, education level) or disease characteristics (duration and degree of DF) (all p>0.05). Binary logistic regression results showed that family support (OR=4.09) and spiritual experience (OR=2.74) had the greatest strengths of relationship among factors influencing positive religious coping. Conclusion: Efforts to improve positive religious coping in DFU patients can be made by optimizing their family support and spiritual experiences to improve their resilience and quality of life.
