The purpose of this study is to study the standards and basic guidelines for operating the Seoul Safe Gosiwon Certification System. This is to ensure a residential environment above a certain level, as the number of Gosiwons has increased recently as a type of inexpensive housing supplied by the private sector. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the current quality of Gosiwons and to award certification to those that offer a living environment that meets or exceeds a certain standard through objective evaluation. The procedure of the study is as follows: First, a review of related systems and laws was conducted to determine the business direction of the safe service certification system. Second, support guidelines and certification projects were reviewed by analyzing similar cases. Finally, the direction of the service certification project’s safety was proposed.
