We are reporting 12 flowering plant species new for the flora of Laos, found during a botanical survey of Lao PDR in 2022–2023. These are Strobilanthes barbigera (Acanthaceae), Ceropegia tenuicaulis (Apocynaceae), Trichosanthes pilosa (Cucurbitaceae), Gaultheria discolor (Ericaceae), Ornithoboea puglisiae (Gesneriaceae), Beilschmiedia percoriacea (Lauraceae), Aspidopterys glabriuscula (Malpighiaceae), Cenocentrum tonkinense (Malvaceae), Peperomia tetraphylla (Piperaceae), Polygala karensium (Polygalaceae), Koenigia mollis (Polygonaceae), and Argostemma cordatum (Rubiaceae). In addition, new vouchers for three flowering plants species of Laos, Baeckea frutescens (Myrtaceae), Fagopyrum cymosum (Polygonaceae), and Sagittaria guayanensis (Potamogetonaceae), along with two alien species new to the flora of Laos, Ruellia simplex (Acanthaceae) and Polygala paniculata (Polygalaceae), are reported.
