In this study, condensation two-phase heat transfer characteristics of R290/R1270 (65/35%) mixture were measured and compared with pure R290 in an offset strip fins flow-structured plate heat exchanger (PHE) with subcooling ranging from 4-7℃ (at liquid receiver outlet). The condensation experimental conditions are saturation temperature (T<sub>sat</sub> =40 – 45℃), inlet vapor quality (x<sub>in</sub> = 0.1 – 0.9), and fixed mass flux (G =40 ㎏ m<sup>-2</sup> s<sup>-1</sup>) and heat flux (q = 6 ㎾ m<sup>-2</sup>). The results showed that the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) decreased for the refrigerants tested with an increase in T<sub>sat</sub>. This is primarily caused by properties like saturated liquid density and liquid thermal conductivity. As the temperature rises, these characteristics decline, resulting in a reduction in HTC. Also, pressure drop (PD) decreases with an increase in T<sub>sat</sub>, because the liquid phase viscosity decreased by a high margin compared to the vapor phase viscosity as the T<sub>sat</sub> increases. Overall, the average HTC and PD of the R290/R1270 mixture were found higher than R290 for all the cases. Correlations were generated to predict the values of the Nusselt number (Nu) and friction factor (ff) of the R290/R1270 mixture.
