The purpose of this study was to provide basic data necessary for efficient performance improvement by verifying and identifying the relationship between perfectionist tendencies, fear of failure, and jinx beliefs and the influence between variables of rookie draft baseball players. To this end, 541 rookie draft designated baseball players located in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Gwangju, and Busan were selected, and from July 8, 2023, to August 2, 2023, an online and offline survey was conducted, and a total of 541 copies were significantly sampled and the final 524 questionnaires were analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 27.0 for the collected data, and the following conclusions were drawn.
First, it was found that the perfectionist tendency of rookie draft baseball players had a significant effect on fear of failure and jinx belief.
Second, it was found that the fear of failure of rookie draft baseball players had a significant effect on jinx beliefs.
