Individual clients often need more experience and expertise in architectural practices. Further, they face challenges in communication and decision-making with other participants during the progression of architectural projects. This often leads to delays in decision-making and conflicts between participants, resulting in a lack of successful project outcomes. This study aims to empirically analyze the relationship between individual clients’ collaborative type, entrepreneurial attitude, and trust in the success of small-scale architectural projects. For the study’s purpose, the collaborative type of individual building clients was defined in terms of operational, strategic, and informational collaboration. Subsequently, the impact of these factors was hypothesized on project outcomes, mediated by entrepreneurial attitude and trust. A sample of 241 individual building clients in the Seoul of South Korea was analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results revealed the positive impact of building clients’ operational, strategic, and informational collaborative capacities on entrepreneurial attitude and trust. Notably, informational collaborative type most significantly affected trust, followed by operational collaboration. Furthermore, both entrepreneurial attitude and trust positively impacted project performance.
