This study investigated how to justify students' perception of respect for life and their arguments from growing plants to argumentation generation activities, and changes in question generation power. It consisted of 19 fourth-grade experimental classes and 18 non-comparative classes at P Elementary School in G, Gyeonggi-do, for argumentation generation activities in growing plants. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of examining the changes in students' perception of respect for life while applying argumentation generation activities in growing plants. It was not statistically significant in the pre- and post-tests between groups. Second, as a result of analyzing the factors that justify arguments in the worksheet and writing scientific topics of argumentation generation activities in growing plants, experience was the highest as a factor that justifies arguments. Third, question generation power of argumentation generation activities in growing plants was above average in the group of plants grown on sunflowers, basil, and ionans. In addition, speculative and causal questions were high in all plant groups for the level of questioning.
