This study aims to predict the optimal locations for Micro-Fulfillment Centers (MFCs) in Seoul, employing empirical analysis of public idle sites such as post offices and gas stations in Gangnam-gu. With the logistics industry and quick commerce experiencing significant growth, there is increasing advocacy for utilizing public idle sites in urban centers as MFC sampling locations nowadays. Leveraging the Brown-Gibson model, this study proposes empirical MFC optimal sample locations, considering all critical, objective, and subjective measurements. The sub-factors of critical factor measurement include area, site layout, number of floors, and external parking space, while the sub-factors of objective factor measurement include rent and land value, transportation costs, and labor costs. Finally, the sub-factors of subjective factor measurement include distance to the market, transportation around the sampling site, proximity to highways, and distance to hub logistics centers. An optimal location analysis for the candidate area was conducted through the data derived accordingly. The analysis identifies gas stations as suitable MFC sampling sites, with specific locations such as Jagok-dong and Segok-dong.
