As the number of vehicle ownership increases and urbanization progresses, social demands for alternatives to solve various urban problems such as climate change, traffic congestion, and parking difficulties continue to emerge. Recently, MaaS (Mobility as a Service) has emerged as an alternative to future mobility, and COVID-19 served as an inflection point, leading to the acceleration of the urban mobility trend. With the revision of the "Logistics Facilities Act" and related subordinate laws that introduce MFC, the location of MFC in the city center is permitted, and the foundation for expansion of urban living logistics facilities is laid, raising expectations for middle-mile autonomous driving. In this paper, from the perspective of autonomous driving, we derive the needs of an autonomous driving platform that must be considered important in terms of responsibility, price, and opportunity cost, and forecast the current reality and future.
