Not much research has been done on Gordon Craig in Korea, and it is simply studied in terms of theater art theory. Among Gordon Craig's studies of theatrical arts, especially those on stage space and pictoriality, and the great influence it had on modern performance, more in-depth study is needed from a scenography perspective. Gordon Craig's experimental stage arts, which provides a theoreti- cal background for the very difficult and free stage expressions seen in modern performances, will undoubtedly be an important theoretical foundation for new contemporary performing arts in the future. Going beyond simple consideration of space, we can present new possibilities for stage art and further look forward to extensive research on scenography. Gordon Craig's theory of theater arts, which spans from the 19th to the 20th century, is a theoretical foundation for contemporary performing arts studies, and although its influence is great, research is very limited. In particular, exploring Gordon Craig's theoretical background influenced by Wagner's theory of general art and the changes in stage art from the 19th to the 20th century will be very meaningful research in exploring our current very poor scenography. In addition, studying the correlation between new stage arts and space through consideration of anti-realism and symbolism will be a good opportunity to find out the impor- tance of stage arts in existing research that has been focused only on directing studies. We explore how Gordon Craig's stage arts was implemented in the spatial composition of modern performance, and in what context scenography progresses and develops as a scene composition and new direction in the performance space through super-puppet theory, an important tool in Gordon Craig's theater arts the- ory. Research what has happened. The study of the interaction between pictoriality and three-dimensional stage in Gordon Craig's scenography expands the concept of stage arts into scenogra- phy, leading to new research results in performance.
