Research and activities on regions start with the records of regions. In recent years, interest in regions has beendeveloping in various ways, including regionalization, the rise of regional studies, and regional archival activities, and theestablishment of research institutes and archival management institutions is also increasing. Therefore, 'urban archives', anactivity of collecting records on regions, is also expanding, but the sharing system for these records remains at a basic level,making it difficult to draw out the ripple effect. This study investigated the sharing of archival records based on interactive mapsrecently operated in foreign archival activities. The results showed that the production of records with geographic identifiersmade it easy to check the detailed location of the records and confirm their relevance to a specific area, and thecategorization of various records and the organization of contents showed the possibility of a sustainable urban archive service. This study suggests the need to develop services based on interactive maps for future urban archiving activities in Korea, andaims to expand the participation of various groups of people in sharing the results of urban archiving.
