This study analyzes how the quantitative size and number of public museums, which are transforming intoconsumer-centered cultural spaces, affect attendance rates, and is based on 23 elements based on the classification criteria ofthe National Cultural Facilities Survey published annually by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The standards arecomposed of four indicators: facility size, number of artifacts, exhibitions and contents, operating personnel and programs, etc,and the correlation between the size of public museum facilities and viewing correlation, the correlation between quantitativeindicators of content and exhibition and viewing rate, This is a study that analyzes the relationship between the quantitativeindicators of public museums and the attendance rate by analyzing the correlation between the quantitative indicators of theoperating personnel, the quantitative indicators of the operating program, and the attendance rate.As a result of the study, thecorrelation between quantitative scale and attendance rate was found to be insignificant or non-existent, and in comparison byregion, the correlation between quantitative scale and attendance rate was found to be insignificant or non-existent in 15regions, excluding the Seoul Museum of History located in Seoul. When building a public museum in the future, it is necessaryto establish a construction and operation plan that considers the operational aspect rather than the facility scale aspect to meetthe changing cultural consumption desires of visitors.
