The purpose of this study is to propose a strategic plan to take the superior position in FTA negotiation with China which has been pre-signed. It was done by analyzing the opinions of the panels throughout the whole sport industry, and understanding the different views and deriving a consensus of the disagreement. The opinions and conclusions from the panels based on the Delphi method are as follows. First, Korea·China FTA will provide an opportunity for the Korean enterprises to secure the export market. Second, when the pending problems of both countries are settled through FTA contract, trade and investment will become more active than now. Third, economic effect through sport events and sport industry can be expected. Fourth, extending its businesses to the Chinese market can be accelerated if the tariff barrier is eliminated by FTA contract especially in fields such as technology and high brand equity fields where we hold a superior position. The plan for preoccupying the dominant position in negotiation is as follows. It is very important to carefully select the interesting lists which Korea should demand, and sensitive lists which we should protect for a successful negotiation. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the order of priority. In order to do so, a detailed research and investigation in trade structure, different interest of industries and enterprises, and general predicaments for enterprises branched out in China. To hold a dominant position in FTA negotiation, we should cope with the situation flexibly observing the Chinese attitude rather than adhere to the comprehensive FTA stance unconditionally. Passive reaction to the market opening in the beginning should proceed to a flexible reaction. By delaying the demand acception of China, we should push on the elimination of the foreign investment prohibition policy in sport service field in exchange.
