The purpose of this study was to derive suggestions to support the service sector of Korean sport industry focusing on the improvement of the Sport Industry Special Classification (SISC) which is the basis of the sport industry policy. For the purpose, the Delphi method was applied. The Delphi panel consisted of 5 experts in academia and practice. Three rounds of Delphi were managed so that opinions of all the experts were integrated while reflecting individual opinions. Results of the study are as follows. First, the current SISC (V. 3.0) does not effectively reflect the situation and environment of convergence between various industries these days, which needs alternative approaches such as Sport Market Value Network. Second, it is necessary to redefine sport service and reclassify the industry since it is difficult to measure the sport service statistics as the boundaries around them are not clear, which causes confusion in the preparation of support policies. Third, the deregulation and activation of sport betting needs to be considered since it can contribute to growth and development of the sport industry as a whole when it is managed in a healthy way.
