Pipe anchor is the most important item in piping design that can safely maintain a piping system by constraining displacement caused by vibrations such as earthquakes and thermal stress caused by fluid temperature. Because of the characteristics of pipe anchors due to excessive force restraint, it is the section where the most accidents occur in a piping system, such as damage to welds and anchor bolts and pipe separation. Thus, engineering safety must be designed. However, the reality of domestic engineering is the lack of structural design knowledge of HVAC engineers and piping engineers. Due to these problems, structural designs that reflect excessive safety factors are being made and sometimes the piping system is damaged due to neglect of the load in the longitudinal direction of the piping. In this study, anchor structures of commonly applied facility piping (CHWS, CHWR) were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to change the H-Beam 200×200×8×12 member of the anchor structure, which was reflected in the original design, to 125×125×6.5×9. The VE effect could be maximized through cost reduction when structurally safe design was possible. The goal of this study was to provide basic data for practical engineers to design anchor members in the Cook Book method, which has been proven in engineering. In the future, practical engineers who lack experience in structural design will be able to refer to the table of the standardized Cook Book method which will become a guideline for safe anchor structure design while preventing overdesign in advance.
