The purpose of this study was to test the wearing of panties developed in a previous study on women with incontinence symptoms. I attempted to evaluate the actual fit of incontinence panties and to understand the discomfort and other factors when wearing incontinence panties. This was intended to provide the basic data necessary for the production of functional incontinence panties with an excellent fit. The results of the preliminary questionnaire analyzed that incontinence symptoms are manifested by behaviors such as sneezing and laughing, and that the participants cope with the symptoms by using sanitary napkins, panty liners, and changing clothes during incontinence symptoms. When purchasing incontinence pants, price, dimensions, absorbency and waterproofing, odor resistance, materials, leakage and absorption speed, and texture were all considered important. Depending on the symptoms of urinary incontinence, the analysis showed that when the amount of urinary incontinence was high and symptoms appeared frequently, the respondents preferred a wider and longer absorbing area, while when the amount of urinary incontinence was low and symptoms did not appear frequently, they preferred a narrower and shorter absorbing area. Suggestions made through the evaluation of pad-coupled incontinence panties required setting the width and length of the absorbing area according to the severity of incontinence symptoms, developing products that are faithful to the basic function of incontinence panties, developing incontinence panties that can minimize skin irritation, and considering measures that can reduce the weight of incontinence pads.
