In ancient Chinese architectural painting, which consists of ruler painting (Jiehua), landscape painting (Shanshuihua), and wall painting (Bihua), a good relationship between human, architecture and nature is remained. It is an artistic expression of the most ideal dwelling environment in ancient China. The environmental aesthetics of the architectural painting of ancient China lies in its ecology and culture. The beauty of nature, dwelling, and life constitute the gist of ecological features of the architectural painting of ancient China, while the artistic conception of fairyland image, landscape architecture image, and Feng-shui is the main content of cultural characteristics of which. The significance of environmental aesthetics of the ancient Chinese architectural painting is the creation of artistic conception of perfect dwelling, the reflection of the harmony and unity of human, architecture and nature, as well as the influence of ancient Chinese aesthetics on architecture. Architecture has been regularly appeared in ruler painting, landscape painting and wall painting of ancient Chinese painting. Although ruler paintingand landscape painting were considered originating from the same kind of painting, however, the artistic expression varied from one to another. Until the Five Dynastiesand Song Dynasty, some great masters of ruler painting, like Wei Xian, Guo Zhongshu, Zhang Zeduan, etc, appeared and ruler painting came into mature period.
