Visual cues playing a crucial role in multisensory flavor perception have been well-established for years, and color is considered a significant product-specific signal in taste perception for food and beverages. Numerous studies have discussed the influence of the color of various food and drink items on taste perception. This paper reports two experiments conducted to investigate the impact of color signals on the perceived intensity of various fruit-flavored beverages. In the first experiment, participants were required to associate specific tastes with colors by solely viewing them. In the second experiment, taste intensity was evaluated through a Labelled MagnitudeScale(LMS) as color intensity changed. The results indicated that changes in the color intensity of the beverages did not have a significant impact on the perceived taste.
