This study aims to provide concrete evidence to explore the direction of change in multicultural policies and services for the social integration of migrants in Korean society. To this end, by interviewing service users and practitioners of A Family Centre, we evaluated the A Family Center’s multicultural policies and services and explored their needs. The research participants described their situation before joining the Family Centre, including their confusion, isolation and loneliness, need and thirst for learning, and desire for a happy family. They received services related to information and counselling, education, living support, cultural experiences and leisure activities at the Family Centre, and experienced the outcomes of learning, resting, meeting, gaining confidence, becoming a helper, and creating a happy family through the Family Center. On the other hand, practitioners said that the drivers of this change were listening and explaining, communicating through relationships, focusing on intermediary roles, using users’ needs and strengths, and gaining autonomy.
