ChatGPT는 데이터 기반 AI로 다양한 형식의 응답을 제공하며, 교육 분야에서의 활용과 개발에 글로벌 IT 기업들이 집중하고 있다. 이 기술은 학교 교육에 널리 적용되고 있으며, 이에 관한 추가 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학생들을 대상으로 ChatGPT의 사용에 대한 만족도와 전공별 미래 중요도를 분석하여 전공별 AI 교육 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2023년 10월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 다양한 전공을 가진 대학생 830명을 대상으로 설문한 결과, 신학, 약학, 문화예술 대학생들이 ChatGPT 사용에 높은 만족도와 중요도를 보였다. 반면, 보건복지, 인문사회, 간호, 미래융합, 문화예술 대학생들은 만족도는 높으나 미래 중요도 인식이 낮았다. 약학, 간호, 과학기술 대학생들은 두 지표 모두 낮아 개선이 필요하며, 간호, 인문사회, 과학기술, 미래융합, 문화예술 대학생들은 만족도는 낮으나 미래 중요도가 높아 교육 가이드라인 제시가 필요하며, 대학생들의 ChatGPT 사용 경험을 바탕으로 한 전공별 AI 교육 가이드라인 개발에 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.
