현대의 공학기술은 인류의 삶과 미래, 사회 및 자연 환경에 매우 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 4차 산업혁명의 시대 공학윤리 문제는 더욱 더 두드러지고 있으며, 과학과 기술의 사회적 영향력으로 인해 공학윤리에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 공학윤리교육은 공학도들이 공학에 관련된 사회적, 윤리적 문제들을 인지하고 이해하며, 미래 자신들의 공학 실무의 사회적 책임과 공학전문 직종의 윤리적 문제들을 명확히 하는데 매우 핵심적인 역할을 할 것이다. 본 연구의 내용으로 연구자는 현재 세계에서 가장 많은 엔지니어들을 배출하고 있는 중국의 공학윤리에 대한 접근 방식을 검토하였다. 연구자는 먼저 여러 선진 국가들의 글로벌 공학윤리교육의 동향을 살펴본 다음, 중국의 공학윤리교육의 역사적 배경과 그 내용을 분석하고, 전통과 현대의 조화, 마르크스주의 이데올로기 및 정치 과정과 공학윤리 과정의 통합이 중국 공학윤리교육의 주요한 특징임을 드러내었다. 마지막으로 연구자는 차이와 다양성은 존중되어야 하지만, 중국의 공학윤리교육이 글로벌 공학윤리교육의 표준에 부합할 수 있는 방향으로의 개혁의 필요성을 주장하며 논의를 마무리하였다.
