The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Chinese youth tennis coaches’ leadership behaviors on leader trust, sports commitment, and performance. To this end, a total of 600 copies of 612 middle and high school students, male and female, were finally analyzed using the convenience sampling method with the help of the instructors and players, and the following conclusions were drawn. First, the tennis instructor’s leadership behavior had a significant effect on the leader’s trust and sports commitment, and the democratic behavior and authoritative behavior had no significant effect on the performance ability. Second, sincerity and openness, which are sub-factors of trust in tennis coaches, had a significant effect on sports commitment, but competence, consistency, and altruism had no significant effects. Altruism had no significant effect on performance. Third, cognitive flow and behavioral flow, which are sub-factors of tennis coach’s sports commitment, had a significant effect on game performance. In summary, if tennis coaches find and teach leadership behaviors suitable for their teams, it will not only have a positive effect on training and daily life of youth players, but also improve their performance. This study was limited in measuring individual qualities, personalities, genetic characteristics, and environmental factors. In the future, it is necessary to conduct future research by more closely grasping the players’ situations and psychological states.
