Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between power distance beliefs, team commitment, team satisfaction, team identification, and exercise continuity among middle and high school soccer players.
Method: The study focused on middle and high school soccer players as its target population. A convenient sampling method was employed to select 500 middle and high school soccer players who were registered with the Korea Football Association in 2020. Data analysis was conducted after removing responses with inconsistencies or missing information during the survey process.
Results: The results are as follows: First, power distance beliefs were found to influence team commitment. Second, team commitment was found to have a significant impact on team satisfaction. Third, team commitment was observed to have an impact on team identification. Fourth, it was determined that team commitment did not have a direct imapct on exercise continuity. Fifth, team satisfaction was found to be a significant factor in maintaining exercise continuity. Sixth, team identification was identified as a factor that affects exercise continuity.
Conclusion: Based on the above results, this study successfully establishes the structural relationship between power distance belief, team commitment, team satisfaction, team identification, and exercise continuity among middle and high school soccer players. Furthermore, the results reveals a significant finding that a belief in high-power distance and team commitment among the players can contribute to the sustainability of exercise among them.
