The purpose of this study is to check the usefulness of learning contents, accessibility, reality, and effectiveness of learning methods to expand the interaction of online education by examining the learning structure characteristics and educational environment of Pilates general elective classes by applying non-face-to-face online education method. The subjects of the study are 30 college students who took Pilates general elective classes without Pilates experience. The data collected for research analysis include lecture plans uploaded through university LMS, weekly content to improve learning progress, physical condition checklist before practical learning, status and post-learning checklist of learners by parking, and real-time Zoom videos and direct observations, lecture evaluation data, and questionnaires. The collected and analyzed data were de-contextualized and re-contextualized, pattern and subject classification and coding through analytical analysis. In addition, triangulation, which is mainly used in qualitative research, was applied to avoid errors in the subjective interpretation of researchers who collect and analyze various data in qualitative research. A plan to strengthen educational efficiency based on the derived results is as follows. First, according to the learner’s VARK type, an educational engineering design approach is needed for the efficiency of learning to identify the professor’s diverse capabilities. Second, in conducting non-face-to-face classes, the importance of communication between learners and instructors is necessary to induce immersion while stimulating learners’ motivation. In addition, there is a need for educational development that allows learners to sustain their own learning, not just function-oriented classes.
