The vibratory assembly system is extensively used in manufacturing automation in the semiconductor industry, mainly for transporting and feeding semiconductor parts. In this study, a vibratory assembly platform was specifically developed for tiny pogo pins to assemble or feed automatically. The tiny pogo pin has a distinctive shape. Its diameter is small, and its length is extended; hence, its diameter-to-length ratio is large. Hence, tiny pogo pins are difficult to maintain in the upright position and assemble automatically. Additionally, the manufacturing process of these systems is expensive, as they are precise and small. This paper presents a novel design of a vibratory assembly platform for a precise and automatic system by combining multiple layers of the tray. For the successful operation, the tray was also developed for pogo pins assembly. Experimental equipment with four vibration motors was developed to enable vibration in all directions (left, right, up, and down). Furthermore, the experimental process was conducted to ensure well-functioning control operation. The results are presented as a percentage (99.6%) for the operation of the vibratory assembly platform.
