As interest in the quality of life increases in modern society, the pursuit of happiness through leisure is a priority value, and this is connected to an increase in demand for travel that allows recreation, charging, and experience. Travel in this phenomenon goes beyond simple tourism for the purpose of convenience of use and private service at the same time, and this is appearing as an increase in the resort type resort market where people can experience and stay in a good natural environment. However, currently, there are many cases in which domestic resorts failed to utilize the characteristics of the region due to the emphasis on facility maintenance, economic feasibility, and accommodation function, and related studies are also lacking. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of overseas resorts located on the seashore and to present a direction for the architectural plan of a recreational resort where the privacy of guest rooms is protected while the use of common facilities is convenient.
