Jogam is a textbook of Crown Prince Hyojang, completed in the first month of 1728 (the 4th year of King Yeongjo). At this time, Prince Hyojang studied for about 8 months using an annotated manuscript. After the premature death of Prince Hyojang, this book was first published on December 24, 1728, in Musinja, that is metal type, with the first and second volumes were printed in four copies each. The editions used in the court are in the collection of Jangseogak. In addition, the Mushinja and Jeongyuja versions of Jogam’s metal movable type have been handed down, and the Musinja version printed after the 4th year of King Yeongjo at Korea University, and the Imjinja version which is a misunderstanding of Musin Capital and Jeongyu Capital at Kyujanggak and Pusan National University, respectively. The manuscripts are owned by Gyeonggi University and Pusan National University, one copy each, and other manuscripts from Insa-dong remain. The text first summarized the relationship between the two editions through comparison and contrast between the manuscripts used for the study of Crown Prince Hyojang and the metal type printed afterwards. By comparing the contents and forms of the metal type capital and Busan National University"s Imjin capital, differences between editons were explained and the publication time of each editon was inferred. Subsequently, the Insa-dong manuscript was analyzed and studied in terms of philology, academic, and historical aspects to reveal its value.
