This study examined the changes in inflammatory factors and metabolic syndrome indices by applying a 12-week treatment program to investigate the effects of walking and outdoor exercise on inflammatory factors and metabolic syndrome indices in elderly women. To this end, it was divided into an exercise group and a control group, and walking and outdoor equipment exercise were applied to the exercise group, and the control group was used as a comparison group to verify the exercise effect of the exercise group. The treatment program applied 60-minute warm-up and main exercise 4 times a week for 12 weeks. To verify the statistical effect between the two groups, two-way analysis of variance was applied to analyze the time-period interaction between the groups. Through this procedure, the following conclusions were obtained.
First, in the effect of 12 weeks of walking and outdoor exercise on inflammatory factors in elderly women, it was found that there was a significant interaction effect between the exercise group and control group in IL-6, and TNF-a was also found in the exercise group and control group. It was found that there was a significant interaction effect in the group.
Second, it was found that there was a significant interaction effect between the exercise group and the control group in TC in terms of the effect of 12 weeks of walking and outdoor machine exercise on metabolic syndrome indices in elderly women. On the other hand, in TG, HDL, and LDL, there was no significant interaction between the exercise group and the control group.
