This paper has attempted to demonstrate the reason why we need a paradigm shift from what to globalize to how to globalize when discussing the globalization of Korean Buddhist Culture, and then propose driving forward with publishing dictionaries of Buddhist culture from various fields of Korean Buddhism as for the cornerstone of globalizing Korean Buddhist culture that we cause to commence paramount concern. Foremost of all, this paper was examined several previous researching viewpoints that insisted on rebuilding the identity of Korean Buddhism as for the answer what to globalize Korean Buddhist culture. As the consequence, the difference from the previous researching viewpoints was revealed the identity of Korean Buddhism is considered outcomes to be made through the formulation process that Buddhism was absorbed in Buddhist thought and practiced by Korean Buddhists in the Korean peninsula since Buddhism was brought out to the Korean peninsula. It was also brought out that we ask to accept a fresh understanding of globalization. The globalization means that the results of the formulation process of Buddhism on the Korean peninsula are shared with global citizens, but not shared with people only in the Korean peninsula. And it is likewise indicated that the most important, pressing, and sustainable job for sharing the outcomes globally is to publish Korean-English Buddhist culture dictionaries from various Korean Buddhist fields. In this report, the most emphasizing and clarifying point is that the globalization in Buddhist world is not present phenomenon, but 2,600 years Buddhist history has been the globalizing process of Buddhist civilization. It is also alleged that today various Asian Buddhist countries that have attempted to conduct their own Buddhist culture and thought are considered its Buddhist historical extension. Therefore, it is stressed that globalization of Korean Buddhist culture is not optional, but it is our mission and duty of this era.
