Since the 2000s, the beauty field has externally changed in quality and quantity, and has been more and more grown by the integration with other studies. While the academic system has been expanded to the academic and industrial world, interdisciplinary research has been very insufficiently conducted. The inquiry into the change of beauty-related academic activities will be the beginning of leaping to deal with new changes. The results of research analysis were as follow. First, the impact studies of research objects held a large majority, followed by hair. The research activities like impact research were rapidly increased from 2010 to 2012, and appearance images were more increased than in previous years, which meant the development of cosmetology, including universities and graduate schools, and the increase of appearance images was the result of lookism in our society. In the study on Korean cosmetology in terms of management, the field of beauty industry management and nail increased steadily, but were somewhat insufficient. Consequently, for the study on Korean cosmetology, interdisciplinary professional research will have to be conducted to form the compositive and integrated research system in the future.
