This paper aims to survey research trends of discourse grammar in the field of Korean language education as a second/foreign language. For this study, the survey examines longitudinally the subjects, materials and methods of researches for discourse grammar through the sites of search for academic research such as RISS, KSI KISS, DBPIA. As the result, 179 articles are selected and analyzed according to key concepts representing principal themes, issues, and approach of them after coding two times. Tendency toward discourse analysis of grammar meaning?function, the relationship between discourse organization and grammar, grammar education based on discourse and analysis of learners' discourse grammar are found. The reason for this research is that understanding of research trends vertically makes it possible to establish the desirable direction for discourse grammar research and to teach Korean grammar to Korean language learners in an effective way with more valid and authentic language contents. On the basis of these meta analysis results, ways to conceptualize 'discourse' and to research for 'discourse grammar' in the developing way are discussed.
