Bergson understood his philosophy of duration as a problem through history of philosophy. Also he explained that his notion of duration start from metaphysical principle to psychology. In my opinion, philosophy of mind is considered notion of intensity. Therefore, notion of duration is set as a philosophical principle resulting in changing space’s problem at a traditional philosophical principle into time- consciousness. The duration’s principle builds a foundation in philosophy. Once again, it is to see the world from a point of view of duration. The problem which came from a point of view of duration is like two side of the same coin facing each other. In short, history of western rationality made the law of contradiction by removing contradiction in world. His duration’s principle has no significance in turning thought of space to thought of time. It is more important that opportunities to catch and explain contradiction in world are contrived. It is his philosophy of mind and notion of intensity. Nature of intensity is made up of differences in quality and it reveals inborn multiplicity of psychological conditions which can not be changed to quantity. It is a progress in quality and gets creation according to his expression. From analysis of intensity’s notion, Bergson’s multiplicity in quality reaches an idea of being’s multiplicity and nature of difference.
