The purpose of this study is understanding current Chinese education at middle school and high school located in Seoul area and pointing out problems in Chinese education at school. Research divided by two case which are middle school and high school. In Seoul, there are 383 middle schools and 324 high schools. The first survey proceeded through the phone if they have Chinese class or not question. The result was 190 middle schools and 244 high schools carry out Chinese education, each hold 49.6% and 75%. It shows the rate of carrying out Chinese education is very high. The second survey proceed through online survey system. The teachers teaching Chinese subject at school answered the choice questions on online. The rate of questionnaire response is 57.8% among 190 middle schools and 68% among 244 high schools. The survey included about the time of Chinese class in one week, the text which is using, the number of students in one class, the period of finishing one chapter, improvements for Chinese educational environment etc. The survey results shown that there are many problems we face. But these is no data about current Chinese education, teachers cannot get any information for teaching, futhermore there is even no system or space for sharing teaching experience or communicating with other school teachers. When it comes to the text research, teachers did not know what kind of text are using by other schools. So this article focused on researching specific data elements, pointed out the problems and proposed improvement plan. We expect that this will help the teachers working at middle school and high school to acquire the informations about Chiense education and develop better educational model.
