Pyoeum Gomun Guhae Jeongsu Daejeon(≪標音古文句解精粹大全≫) written by He, Ru-yu(何如愚) is a collection of Chinese classic poems and essays in the early Ming Dynasty. According to Korean and Japanese ancient document records, this book was very popular and widely read in China, Korea and Japan, it became a literature textbook before the 16th century. But since the 17th century, this book was gradually neglected by readers of three countries(China, Korea, Japan), and nearly lost. After finding three missing volumes of Pyoeum Gomun Guhae Jeongsu Daejeon that belonging to East China Normal Univ. Library of China, Nation Central Library of Taiwan, and Korea Univ. Library of South Korea, and reviewing the advanced secondary studies, I examined and reported its bibliographical characteristics and the literature contents to Chinese academic circle. Recently, a manuscript of Pyoeum Gomun Guhae Jeongsu Daejeon's Sokjip part was found in Moonchengak of Gyeongsang National Univ.. The purpose of this paper is to introduce by examining its bibliographical characteristics and its literary contents. In addition, I investigate when it was edited and what were its specific details in terms message, style, etc. Through a comparative study of four versions of the same text, I investigate and reveal the composition process and contents of the whole book. Finally, this paper wishes to provide an exemplary research method about how to compile collections of Chinese classical and traditional literary texts and various research about them. My research can also be combined with the comparative research made by Korean and Japanese scholars in order to show the wide spread of Chinese classic works in the East Asian culture.
