To examine the effect of appearance management behavior of university students on interpersonal relationships, 476 questionnaires were used as final analysis data for university students living in Seoul, Gangwon-do, and other areas. For statistical analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 21.0 program. According to the result, the higher the hair management behavior and clothing purchase behavior for men, the more significant the interpersonal relationship was, and the higher the clothing purchase behavior and makeup behavior for women, the more significant the interpersonal relationship was. It is expected that makeup and hair-related activities will be developed and operated in beauty programs for improvement of the social adaptability of university students.
