(Research Background and Purpose) From old times, regardless of where in the East or the South, clothes have been stored in cabinets such as wardrobes or built-in cabinets. However, today's furnishing is becoming a necessary element not only for storage, but also for antibacterial and cleaning functions in response to viruses and fine dust. The convergence of furniture and smart technology is expected to create new opportunities in the furniture industry, respond to changing consumer lifestyles, and present a new paradigm. Accordingly, this study intends to develop the design of a smart antibacterial system for clothing storage furniture in response to the worsening in the living environment. Proper distribution technology. And a closet which can be used by small furniture manufacturers. (Research method) This study examines smart furniture market trends, market analysis, user surveys, and demographic changes to review and selects appropriate smart technologies. The process of furniture design development includes user trend surveys, applicable smart technology reviews and test analysis, and design planning. Moreover, clothing purifying system and the actual furniture prototype is produced to specify commercialization of furniture development. (Result) Based on the insights obtained through the interior trend research. First, the concept is to play various colors in the wardrobe furniture. The inside of the closet is divided to make it easier for the small purifier to take good care of each piece of the clothes. The wardrobe furniture is designed in consideration of the interior volume, suitable for the clothes cleaning system module to operate, and for the installation quide and electricity wire to fit inside. The clothing purifying device is attached to the inner wall of the wardrobe and consists of humidity, temperature, fine dust, illuminance sensor, and humidifier, pen module and more. It operates semi-automatically by sensing temperature, humidity, and concentration of fine dust, and can manage all these conditions inside the closet. Three types of filters are built inside the device to remove fine dust, various impurities, and odors on wardrobes. (Conclusion) The purpose of this study is to develop accessibility to smart furniture. With convenient technology and friendly price, it can give customers a better experience in life. When technology enters the stage of large-scale commercialization, the technical attention decreases, but the price decreases. Taking advantage of this fact, if many small domestic furniture manufacturers continue to present more convenient and affordable smart furnishing to users, it will be possible to form a new smart furniture market. In the future, we intend to expand the field of furniture development which can be used in various environments such as public spaces and offices. It is expected that the results derived from this study can be used as basic data for smart furniture development with applicable technology.
