The newly released semi-permanent eyebrow cosmetics have been received much attention to the consumers due to long-lasting feature. By the way, there is the difference between cosmetic products in terms of quality and stability is still unknown. This study was to evaluate the stability of three different types’ semi-permanent eyebrow cosmetics. We prepared the liquid, ointment and wax base of semi-permanent eyebrow cosmetic respectively. The samples have evaluated the stability of physical and chemical characteristics including centrifugation, heat and cool cycling, the variation of viscosity and pH. Also, we observed the discoloration, odor, and characteristic changes depending on the temperature for 28 days. As the results of the stability test, the liquid type of semipermanent eyebrow cosmetic(sample A) were stable on the evaluation of centrifugation, temperature cycling, viscosity, pH, discoloration, and odor. But ointment and wax type of semi-permanent eyebrow cosmetics(sample B, C) were not stable on the all stability evaluation. As a prominent finding, the liquid type of semi-permanent eyebrow cosmetic(sample A) is the most stabile, due to the hygroscopic properties of pigments.
