This study examined a mediator role of self-esteem on the prediction of positive disability acceptance on life satisfaction among people with visual impairments. A total of 103 people with visual impairments participated in the study. According to Baron and Kenny(1986)’s statistical procedure of mediating test, we utilized Pearson’s correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression analyses. The present study results demonstrated that both positive disability acceptance and self-esteem positively affected life satisfaction with statistical significance. Self-esteem fully mediated the effect of positive disability acceptance on life satisfaction. Based on the findings, suggestions and implications in social work practice were discussed to improve positive disability acceptance, self-esteem, and ultimately life satisfaction.
