In the Air Freight market, passenger carriers’cargo(Belly cargo) accounts for about half of the world’s air cargo, and its share is increasing. As the demand for cargo is rapidly increasing, there’s trend to supply more dedicated cargo service. Since the air cargo industry is heterogeneous, it is necessary to clearly distinguish between passenger carriers’cargo and dedicated freight. In this study, degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality were calculated to analyze passenger carriers’cargo and dedicated freight networks of major airlines in Northeast Asia. The air cargo network is a complex system, and according to the power law, a small number of nodes appeared in the form of having a large influence. Cargo service network of passenger carriers is formed centered on passengers, and it was confirmed that routes were formed based on the hubs in Northeast Asia including Seoul(Korea), Shanghai(China), Tokyo(Japan), Beijing(China), and Osaka(Japan). On the other hand, dedicated freight network is not only in Northeast Asian hubs including Seoul(Korea), Shanghai(China), and Tokyo(Japan), but also in Anchorage(USA), Chicago(USA), Los Angeles(USA) in America, Amsterdam (Netherlands) in Europe, and Navoi(Uzbekistan) in Central Asia. It can be seen that nodes belonging to various regions are distributed. Through the analysis, it can be suggested as a contribution of the study that it is possible to determine which node is mainly used according to the characteristics of air freight transport. More competitive routes can be built if they are established according to transportation characteristics, when setting nodes based on the airport’s development strategy and policy in the future.
