The purpose of this study is to analyze the status of information accessibility of social services for the elderly in Gyeongsangbuk-do and to derive improvement plans. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 635 elderly people aged 65 and over living in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The dimensions of information accessibility were divided into information access, information understanding, and information usage. The differences between groups in these three dimensions were analyzed according to the characteristics of the elderly (age, residence, National Basic Livelihood Act recipients, and living alone). The result revealed that the older the elderly, the more they live in rural areas, the older the recipients of the basic livelihood, and the older people living alone, the more difficulties they had in accessing, understanding, and using social service information. Based on the results, it can be seen that a differentiated information accessibility of social services improvement method according to the characteristics of a group should be sought, rather than a uniform information accessibility improvement method, and policy and practical suggestions were presented.
