Report Errors

Based on the visual framing theory and the concept of the “visualized” national image, the study will analyze visual reports issued by People’s Daily Overseas Edition. From the perspective of visual coverage by the mass media, the study aims to probe into practices or tactics adopted by China’s official media when publicizing the national image. This study on visual recognition of the national image responds to practical issues generated by the meaning of the national image under the background of visual turn and discusses how to seek more efficient methods to build up the nation’s visual image. In addition, the study will go back to exploratory issues about the framing theory to expand the horizon and approach of framing research.
