최근 란타나이드 및 악티나이드 화합물에서 위상 콘도 절연체를 비롯하여 위상결정 콘도 절연체, 위상 바일-콘도 준금속, 위상초전도체 등등 다양한 위상학적 상태들을 가질 수 있다는 가능성이 제기되면서 학문적으로 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 강상관 f 전자계에서 나타나는 물리학적 현상 및 위상학적 성질에 대해 살펴보고, 몇몇 화합물들을 예로 들어 그 물질의 전자구조 및 위상학적 성질에 대해 간략하게 소개하고자 한다.
