Augmented reality is one of the visualization technologies that attracts attention in various fields. The educational use of augmented reality content can save time and effort to understand and learn 3D space, and can enhance learning effects with various experiences. It checks the impact of the existing spatial visualization education experience on the field of architecture and design as an educational tool for new technologies that have emerged from the development of science and technology. Participants in the experiment were classified according to the presence or absence of spatial visualization education experience, and the difference in cognitive responses in the process of manipulating virtual objects using augmented reality content was confirmed by EEG measurement. Among the measured EEG data, the inverse proportional response of RA in stable states in the frontal lobe region and the direct proportional response of RB in mental activity in tense states were compared according to the group of participants. EEG channels in which the active reaction of RB has a positive (+) value and the active reaction of RA has a negative (-) value were identified in the two experimental participant groups as Fz channels. In Non-Major"s Fp1 channel, RA and RB had positive (+) active reactions, but RA showed a value smaller than that of RB. As the average comparison of measured brain waves, the frontal lobe region was activated in cognitive performance using augmented reality content, and detailed differences in brain wave channels were confirmed according to the group of experimental participants. It is meaningful to infer how augmented reality technology differs in the user"s cognitive characteristics and to suggest a method of deriving results that appear through verification through cognitive response measurement experiments.
