In this study, an optical sensor using a perovskite thin film was fabricated and its possibility was investigated. The optoelectronic device was fabricated using a semiconductor process technology that was researched and developed based on perovskite. Specifically, patterning of the semiconductor material was carried out by applying isopropyl alcohol solution to a cotton swab using a solution without a mask and rubbing the area to be removed.
The optoelectronic sensor device was irradiated with light emitting diode to measure its optical characteristics. After light irradiation, a photocurrent that is about 1000 times higher than that of the dark current was generated. In conclusion, if an optical sensor is made using perovskite, an electronic device with very high sensitivity is realized. However, it was found that the shape of the edge was not realized in a straight line due to the removal of the semiconductor material using a cotton swab, and a hole appeared near the edge due to the characteristics of the highly volatile solution. These problems must be solved in order to manufacture a mass-produced sensor.
