This study was conducted to analyze the effect of simulation practice education using standardized patients on self-leadership of nursing students. The data collection period of the study was from April 2022 to May 2022, and the subjects of the study were 138 nursing students who participated in simulation practice education using standardized patients among nursing students located in J city. For statistics, frequency analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used by SPSS/WIN 21.0. The communication ability, problem-solving ability and critical thinking of the subjects showed the self-leadership of nursing students who participated in the simulation training using standardized patients. And these variables were found to explain 51.0% of self-leadership. That is, it was confirmed that practical education using standardized patients improved the communication ability, problem solving ability, and critical thinking of nursing students, and these variables had a positive effect on the self-leadership of college students. Based on this, it is necessary to expand and apply simulation practice education using standardized patients in university education.
