Today, the transition to smartization in our society and cities through the technology of the 4th industrial revolution is in progress, and a response is required in the architecture field based on the rapid development of smart techonogies. Purpose: This research explores the direction of a new building plan considering new types of services provided through smart building technology. The purpose of this study is to provide basic research data to establish a new approach direction and theoretical foundation for architectural planning for systematic smart architecture. Method: In this study, through a more theoretical literature review such as various research papers and research reports in the fields of smart technology, smart architecture, and smart city, research trends related to smart city and architectural space are examined and analyzed, and the city of the future and predicting and examining changes in architectural space, and trying to understand the applicability of new smart building technology and changes in major spaces accordingly. Result: In response to the rapidly changing and new social needs, it is possible to classify and identify the characteristics of new types of services in buildings to be provided through the application of new smart technology applicable to buildings, and to build residential buildings, commercial and office spaces, etc. that is implemented quickly analyze changes in space. Through this, it provides basic research data to establish a new approach direction and theoretical foundation for architectural planning for smart techonogies and smart building service.
