Purpose: The fine particles in accordance with the increasing seriousness of the negative perception in outdoor sports activities is increasing.
Methods: In response, this study aims to identify the decision-making process on future sports activities by identifying the impact of perception risks on the behavior of parents of participants in infant sports. Then, these sub-dimensions were applied to the theory of planned behavior.
Results: To this end, a survey was conducted on parents who participated in indoor sports in the Seoul metropolitan area and a total of 217 effective samples were used for empirical analysis. The results of data analysis prove that the socio-environmental and physical risks of fine particular matter positively influence attitudes and subjective norms among recreationists.
Conclusion: This influence is also reflected in environmental perspectives but not in perceived behavioral control. On the contrary, there were no statistically significant differences among economic risk of particular matter and attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control respectively. It was also found that the attitude of outdoor recreationists, subjective norms, and the perceived behavior control of fine particular matter positively influenced behavioral intention. On the effects of fine particles behavior and determination play a bigger role in outdoor sports participation than subjective norms from a social perspective in terms of social, environmental, economic and physical risks, which lead to action from a reasonable perspective.
